Piemonte's Italian Delicatessen has been a Fresno tradition for over 80 years. Owners of the Central Valley location, Neil and Nancy Eberwein, have partnered with friends Gary and Sue Nichols to open a new second location in Uptown San Luis Obispo, featuring the same products and recipes from the original owners.
There are almost thirty sandwich choices, including the favorite hot pastrami and the Piemonte Special with dry and cooked salami, ham, mortadella and provolone cheese on a French roll. Other offerings range from corned beef and capicolla to prosciutto and pepperoni, from chicken salad to vegetarian.
Tortellini and ravioli are some of our frozen pastas, as well as frozen pizza dough. Frozen sauces include pesto and red sauces such as veggie and vodka.
For our cheese selection, we carry imported provolone, teleme and domestic dry jack cheese, among others. In our cold cuts section, we have thuringer, capicolla, red coppa, black coppa, pancetta and head cheese.
There is outdoor seating, but our menu is primarily takeout.
We take genuine pride in our family business. Come and see why quality and freshness come first at Piemonte's Deli.
We have deli trays and sandwich trays for all occasions.
Our bread is from a The Basque Bakery in Fresno, supplying a unique roll especially for Piemontes. Our pasta dinners are made from scratch. Housemade sausages, Italian sauces, and meatballs and most of the deli salads are made at the San Luis Obispo location.
Soups include minestrone and Italian wedding soup. Favorite hot entrees include lasagna and eggplant parmesan. We have traditional tiramisu and cannoli for dessert.
We also offer a great selection of cheese and cold cuts domestic and imported and specialty products. We have a variety of dried and frozen items such as canned tomatoes, lupini beans, giardiniera, semolina flour, pizzelle and imported dried pastas.
